30-31 March Reflections: Student Development of "The Process" for Their Use

Transcribed from hand-written notes-
3/30:

The Process – collaborative & creative

Solution – Finding the SME (subj. matter expert) trained personnel to ping ideas off of- design experimental means of attacking a problem… perhaps ‘problem’ solution doesn’t necessarily have to be the only goal – Learning how to assemble the right people with the right system knowledge to intelligently collaborate as a team, is a goal as well.

** Notes from 3/31 class and telephone conversation with Dr. Schmitz:
                Re: the problem… provide a template of methods
                -tools they can use
                -experimentation

I should work from Instructor-led -> Transition into student-led problem…
Use ‘The Process’ as a goal (experimentation, collaboration, etc)

*I can use my anticipations as directions toward the goal I want to achieve (bitchin’… I have already done this by asking leading questions in the survey specifically to gauge interest in topics/strategies that I want to introduce)
Re: Measurability – if research and analysis are difficult to quantify, conversations can also be used, in addition to direct quotes from survey answers.
